Benedicto “Ito” Diaz age 74 of East Chicago, passed away suddenly Friday, September 24, 2021.

He is survived by his children, Jezebel, Melissa, Michael and Alex Diaz.

Grandchildren are: Estrella Vidaurri, Maya Rios, Alexia Cuevas, Rene Cuevas, and Alexandra Valencia.

Great Grandson Elijah Solis.

Brothers and sisters are, Felin, David, Victor, Lucy Diaz and Maria Diaz-Martinez.

Preceded in death by parents Coronado and Natalia Diaz, Brother Robert Diaz and Sister Negri Diaz.

"God has taken you to heaven to be in peace. You are no longer in pain. We will always remember your bright smile and how you would always crack jokes on people, while also being a tough guy and never taking BS from anyone.

You will be remembered for your intelligence, your artistry, and your craftsmanship as a carpenter.

You will live on in your children and grandchildren, who each inherited some of your qualities. Most of all you will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to all of us.

We all love you and will see you in heaven one day".
