Carmen M. Miranda

Carmen Marie Miranda, age 52, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday- March 20, 2022 surrounded by her daughters at her home in Hammond, IN., ending her ongoing battle with cervical cancer since June of 2019.

Carmen was born on June 29, 1969 in Gary, IN. She was a student of the first graduating class at E.C. Central High School in 1987.

She worked almost 20 years in the Casino industry.

Preceded in death by her father, Carlos Miranda.

Carmen is survived by her mother, Corrine Miranda; Her 3 daughters, Victoria Miranda, Tatiana Brito, & Alexis Miranda; Her 2 grandchildren Angel Ashmore & Lilyana DeSantiago; And her 5 siblings.

Anyone that knew Carmen knew that she was tough as nails with a heart of gold. She loved her family. A true 80s baby and proud Mexican woman

A music lover; freestyle, house, Tejano, & more. She loved her Chicago White Sox & Chicago Bears. She taught us the value of family. To live everyday like it's your last because tomorrow isn't promised.

Her absence will be felt for a lifetime but through us, her memory will live on forever.
