Cecilia Baez

Cecilia Baez , age 78 of Highland, Indiana, formerly of East Chicago, Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2021.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Louis Baez, children Adam (Kristin) Baez, Gregory Baez, grandchildren Gabriella Baez, Brianna (Tyler) Moskalick, Marissa Baez, Alena Baez, brothers Tony (Marty) Ramirez, B.B. Ramirez, Paul Ramirez, sisters Christy (Mark) Balog, Fifi (Paul) Ellis, nieces and nephews, Tricia (Aaron) Robinson, Jason (Alex) Balog, Megan Ramirez, Steven (Nicole) Ramirez, Aspen (Kevin) Lyons, Tim Ellis, Erin (Stu) Hollins, Jeffery Ramirez, Keith (Kristan) Ellis and Ryan (Kate) Ramirez.

Cecilia devoted her life as a faithful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a third order Carmelite and attended various prayer groups over the years. She spent countless hours, in person and on the phone, providing emotional and spiritual support to friends and family suffering from the trials and tribulations of daily life.

While she loved her family and friends, she truly loved Jesus most and would like to be remembered as a faithful daughter of God and a loyal member of the Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 10am - 12pm, followed directly by a funeral mass at the Carmelite Monastery, 1628 Ridge Rd, Munster, IN 46321.

Procession to the grave site will commence after the mass and end at St. John/St. Joseph Cemetery, 1547 167th St, Hammond, IN, 46320.
