Corrine Marie Miranda

Corrine Marie Miranda, 79, born April 3, 1945, passed away on January 17th, 2025 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her closest loved ones.

Born in Gary, IN where she worked for half her life. Worked a few short years in California and for the remainder of her life, spent as a homemaker. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Miranda and her daughter, Carmen Miranda.

For many people, Corrine was the life of the party. The dancing queen, the joke teller, the fireball of energy in any room. She will be remembered for her loyalty, laughter, and high spirit. Until her final breaths, she always had a joke to make. She could turn any sad situation into one that made you thankful to just be alive. 

She was a devoted wife, a hard working mother/grandmother and an even greater friend. When she wasn't behind the bar at the classic "BRASS BELL LOUNGE," she was entertaining family and friends in the warmth and comfort of "The Miranda House."

Corrine is survived by her daughter, Crystal

Miranda, her 4 siblings, numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

To know Corrine, was a gift. Tough as nails with a heart of gold. Remembered for all of her amazing qualities and leaving a powerful impression on any life she touched. Her memory will live on in all of our hearts.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 23rd from 4-8pm at Acevez Funeral Home, 4404 Cameron Ave. Hammond.

A private cremation will follow.
