Dorothy “Donna” J. Kulik

December 31, 1939 – January 9, 2024

HAMMOND, IN – Donna Kulik, age 84, of Hammond passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 9, 2024 surrounded by her husband and children. Donna is survived by her loving husband of nearly 65 years, Donald; beloved children Richard (Linda) Kulik, Michael (Janelyn) Kulik, Karen (Bob) Klager, and Kristin (John) Peters; grandchildren Christopher R. Kulik, Christopher J. Kulik, Catherine (Scott) Johnson, Sophie Peters and Leif Peters; sister Carol (Martin) Riley.

Donna was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Hoholek, stepfather Stanley Hoholek and bothers Stanley Hoholek and Ronald (Cheryl) Hoholek.

Donna lived a life dedicated to her family and friends, always there to provide care, comfort and support whenever needed. Her selflessness and compassion touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on those she touched.

As a mother, she exemplified love without boundaries. She nurtured her children with unconditional love and guided them through life’s challenges instilling in them the values of kindness, empathy and resilience. 

Donna was a lifelong resident of Hammond working for many years at Angelo’s Finer Foods, later Reliable Foods, finally retiring from St. Margaret Hospital. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and spent any free moments reading romance novels or the latest People magazine.

Donna will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
