Dorothy "June" Sajdyk

SAJDYK, Dorothy “JUNE” (nee Williams), age 95 of East Chicago Indiana, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 1, 2024. She was a 1947 graduate of Hammond Tech High School.  

She was a life-time member of St. Stanislaus Church, and, when active and able to attend mass, sat in her favorite pew.  Dorothy worked for the telephone company for over 42 years, starting out as an operator and finishing in the construction area of the company.  She was a life-long member of the Telephone Pioneers Association.  

Dorothy was also a member of American Legion Post 369 Auxiliary.  She like to travel and visit with friends and loved to go and dancing at the Musician’s hall.  Dorothy was a Beloved Wife and Mother of four: Stephen Sajdyk, James Sajdyk (Karen), David Sajdyk (Debra) and Ronald Sajdyk (Linda). She had five Grandchildren, Alicia, Lauren, Joshua, Jonathan, and Michael, as well as several Great Grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. 

Dorothy was preceded in death by her Husband Edward Sajdyk, her father and mother Gordon and Ethel Williams (Cook), her sister Lucille, twin sister Beverly Jean, her brothers Robert (Bob), and Jerry. Visitation services will be held at 10:30am to 12:30pm at ACEVEZ funeral home 4404 Cameron Ave, Hammond Indiana 46327. Services will be directly following the visitation at the funeral home. Entombment will be at St. Joseph/St. John’s Catholic cemetery located at 1547 167^th Street Hammond Indiana 46237.
