Geronimo "Jerry" Cavazos

Geronimo “Jerry" Cavazos age 58 of East Chicago, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at his home. He is survived by sisters Elma Garza-Martinez, Rosario (Jose) Valdez, Brothers Joseph Cavazos, Jaime Cavazos, and Jesus “Jesse” Cavazos. Numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Jose and Juanita Cavazos., Sisters Maria Perez and Diana Cavazos and Brother Edward Cavazos

.Jerry was devoted to his family and known for his hats, dapper style of dressing, and respectful manners.  He was proud of his Mexican heritage and loved his Mexican food and music. He loved all things Native American and was an avid history buff. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 from 4-8 pm at the Acevez Funeral Home, 4918 Magoun Avenue, East Chicago, Indiana.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10 am DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, with Fr. Stephen D. Kosinski officiating, 3510 Deodar St. East Chicago, Indiana.

A private cremation will follow.
