Gustavo "Gus" Arceo Gudino

On Monday, April 12, 2021, Gustavo "Gus" Gudino, loving son, brother, and father of two children passed away at the age of 51 at St Catherine's hospital in East Chicago surrounded by family.

Gus was born on May 20, 1969 in Sahuayo, Michocan, Mexico to Jose Gudino and Aurora Arceo. Gus met his companion of 24 years and the mother of his two children, Veronica Mata in Lynwood, CA in 1990.

He had many jobs, wore many hats and sang many songs. He was a humble and happy person with forgiveness embedded in his heart. He loved to share his view of the world with others and truly lived life through simple pleasures.

He loved to joke with friends and family, sing rancheras, and helped others any way he could. He had a wonderful knack for fixing things and challenged himself to repair what was deemed irreparable.

His smile, good will and laughter will be missed by everyone.

Gus is survived by his father, Jose Gudino, siblings; Alma Gudino, Antonio Gudino, Gabriella Small Gudino and Aldalberto Gudino and children; Andrew and Anissa Mata.

Family, friends and others whose lives were touched by Gustavo are invited to Acevez funeral home from 4pm-7pm on April 16, 2021 to reminisce, grieve and support one another during this time.

A private cremation will follow.
