Providencia "Provi" Rodriguez

Providencia “Provi’ Rodriguez 72, of Hammond, passed away on March 5, 2019 peacefully in her home.

Providencia was born in Gurabo, Puerto Rico to Gabriela & Luis Colon on July 3, 1946.  She married Antonio Rodriguez on August 5, 1973 in Chicago, Il. She was a hardworking wife and mother.  She was a woman of great faith who loved to pray & worship.

Providencia is preceded in death by her parents Gabriela & Luis Colon, her siblings Aurora, Aida, Dorca, Alfredo and Anibal.  Her loving and youngest daughter Raquel Rodriguez.

Providencia Rodriguez is survived by her husband, Antonio Rodriguez, her children: Nereida Rodriguez (William), Sandra Rodriguez- Henley (John), Daniel Rodriguez (Lymarie) and her grandchildren Hector Santiago Jr., Antonio Wilson (Melanie), Raquel Wilson (Sam), Daniel Rodriguez, Jr, Juan Mateo Henley, Jordan Henley and Kaylee Rodriguez.  Her great grandchildren: Avery Wilson and soon to be born baby girl Wilson. Her siblings Manuel Colon, Roberto Colon, Lucy Colon, Isabel Colon and Milma Colon, and her 23 nieces and nephews.
