Rosa Rosas

Rosa passed away peacefully at her home in East Chicago, Indiana surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 29, 1924 on a small ranch in El Vivorero, Jalisco Mexico. She married the love of her life, Jose Gustavo Rosas. They came to the United States with their children in 1952. Rosa is survived by her loving children Bert Rosas (Dianne) Elsa Conner (Jim) Rosemary Torres (Raul) and her kitty Charita. She was a proud grandmother to Adam Conner (Nicole) Jaimee Longo (Joseph) Cassandra Carson (Andrew) Brandon Rosas-Torres (Michelle), Jordon Rosas-Torres and Jessica Torres. Her beautiful great grandchildren Dominic and Ryan Longo, Kadence and Micheala Conner.  Preceded in death by her husband Jose Gustavo Rosas, her precious granddaughter Ashley Danielle Moreno, her beloved son-in-law Michael Conner, her sisters’ children that she raised and loved liked her own Manuel and Guadalupe Flores. Her parents Pablita and Manuel Aguirre, and nine siblings. Rosa loved traveling to Guadalajara, Mexico and California to visit her family. She enjoyed baking, cooking, canning, and making her delicious tamales and flour tortillas.  She was very high spirited with a great sense of humor, her love of Mexican mariachi music and dancing was\ unrivaled. Rosa a very devout Catholic and was proud of her Faith. She was loved by all the people she met with her friendly smile and contagious personality. She was the most loving and selfless mother and grandmother. Always putting her family first. She will forever be loved and etched into the fabric of her family history.
