Rudy Ruiz Jr.

Rudy Ruiz, Jr, age 60, of Hammond, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019. Rudy was born in East Chicago on August 31, 1958.

He was a graduate of Morton High School and attended Purdue University Calumet. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of the VFW Post 7881 in Hessville.

Rudy is survived by his sister, Margaret (Margie) Cathey of San Antonio, Texas, uncle, Dario (Mary) Ruiz of Hammond, aunt, Sally (late Albert) Villarreal of Highland, as well as numerous cousins and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolfo and Amelia Ruiz. Rudy was a good guy who always enjoyed being with family and friends and was a die-hard Chicago CUBS fan. He was a good friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
