Wayne “Shorty” Ronald Frechette, 47 of Hammond Indiana passed away on January 13th at Community Hospital in Munster, Indiana. Wayne was born on April 10th, 1977, to Tillie Shearer (Stech), and Ronald Frechette at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Hammond, Indiana. Wayne is survived by his two loving sons Logan Frechette, and Aidan Youmans; spouse, Telisha Frechette (Pearson), mother Tillie Shearer and stepfather Dana Shearer; sisters Shannon (Robert) Ramos, Sara (Raul) Madera and Ronica (Andre) Johnson; mother-in-law Pam Pearson; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and loved ones. Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Frechette, paternal grandparents, Wayne and Ann Frechette, maternal grandparents Glen and Mary Stech, Uncle Jimmy Frechette, and Aunt Sue Stech.

From a very young age, Wayne developed a strong passion for fishing, especially if it included his sons Logan and Aidan. Wayne had a love for sports! He grew up as a Cubs fan and as an adult, loved to see the White Sox play. He loved watching his Bears play on Sundays and could often be found watching their games during the season, with his jersey on. He also played football during his time at East Chicago Central High School where he was number 17 for the Cardinals. 

Wayne loved his family and friends fiercely. More often than not, he could be found on an adventure with friends and loved ones. He enjoyed living his life to the fullest. Although Wayne left this world too early, he touched the hearts and lives of many and will be dearly missed.
